Scott Listed Varieties of the Liberty Issue of 1954-1961
Note: Although the Scott numbers do not reflect this, the "wet" printings actually preceded the "dry" printings. The "First Days" listed under the above illustrations are for the "wet" printings. Many of the coil stamps were printed with both the "large holes" and the "small holes". This change in hole size was made to accommodate the Bureau's change in the number of coil subjects per plate from 384 to 432 and was implemented over time as the supply of existing coil stamps of a particular denomination was depleted.
